Sim2Spore Posts: Member. February edited February I think it depends on the sim and your luck. I made a new sim and sent him into the jungle for only 3 days, I didn’t excavate every single dirt pile I came across and only explored one temple.

Walked away with 2k simoleans from finishing the temple, and one rare 8k artifact, everything else was only worth a couple hundred simoleans since they were of poor quality. And I only got to about level 4 archaeology. EDIT: Would also like to add that if you make your sim purchase a ton of supplies before heading out, on top of the cost of vacationing, you do spend quite a bit. While not totally balanced, I think of it more as an investment for a big pay off sort of situation.

There goal was to make at least 60k so her brother can move out into a nice house on his. They spent about 3. Realistically if you become a archeologists you make a lot of money if you do find good stuff. But OP you were lucky, cause my sims found a bunch of broken vase, got cursed from one treasure and the last one was a bunny looking relic 1 out of the 4 were real and a plate worth 10k.

Plus if you get too much money just have your sims donate it to a charity. I am actually glad the Sims can make decent money. One of my Sims is going to be an archaeologist and he may not make it to the jungle every rotation. At least he will have enough to sustain a couple of rotations before heading back. The first Sims I sent into the jungle only came back with like 1k worth of items.

LOL I was wondering if my archaeologist would be able to make a living and keep his home. Cupid Posts: 3, Member. My sim was attacked by bees, spiders, bats, set on fire, felt sick from eating the food, and electrocuted. And almost died permanently because I accidentally saved in the wrong spot — right before she was about to try to enter the electrified temple a second time I’m going to sell about half of her loot and keep the other for decorations in her house, which of course will increase her bills.

Pricey cars, or losing in the stock market, or some financial chance cards. But I’m glad the bills are higher in this version. Sim Stuff by Pegasys. My sim found 2 artifacts worth 8k on his first trip, which he ended up displaying in his home. It’s true that our sims did use up money and their days off for this and risked their lives, so the payoff is worth it, although I guess they could tune it down for balance.

If my sims ended up with a huge haul every trip, it would make earning money through adventuring too easy. I think an element of risk would round it out, but that’s just me.
